The engineering company, based in Crosshills near Skipton, which produces one of the country's leading curved stairlift, is helping the sports charity by developing a new website and funding a series of workshops to help raise the awareness of the sport.
Wheelchair Dance Sport offers wheelchair users the opportunity to dance competitively with other wheelchair users and able bodied dancers. It covers a range of dance genres including ballroom, Latin, modern and even Bangrah.
The charity also trains dance instructors who will develop the sport in different areas of the country.
Platinum Stairlifts managing director Tim Frear said: "The charity gives wheelchair users an independence and freedom to express themselves in the same way that we aim to give our stairlift customers greater independence in their lives. We are proud to be backing their excellent working in expanding wheelchair dance to different communities."
